 He was born in the 1540s in Devon, England.  He had a poor family!  Queen Elizabeth, 1 st, gave him permission and paid for him to go on his journey.  His goal was to sail the Spanish colonies and steal their riches.

 Exploring from and from  Stole silver from the Spanish colonies, he found the West Indies and the Spice Islands. The natives living there are: The Melanesians and The Austronesia's. (aw-stron-sias) (Mel-ain- si-ans  The first people to live there were the Melanesians and The Austronesia’s.  He almost started a war with Spain. Sir Francis Drake effected England in a good way because he brought money to England.

 Sir Frances Drake didn’t make good decisions.  He wanted to find the northwest passage.  He was honored because he has a hotel named after him and a street.

 Sir Francis Drake found so much treasure that he had to shorten his trip.  He had a wife but no kids.  He died from a high fever and from losing a battle against Puerto Rico.  He was buried at sea.  He was one of the first English Explorers to explore the Pacific and Indian ocean.
