Viking Gods Who were the ancient Vikings?

The Vikings believed that there are different gods that lived in a place called Asgard.

Odin was the chief god. Odin was also known as Woden, the god of war. He was a very good fighter.

Thor was the God of thunder. He had a thunder hammer. Thor was the son of Odin and Fjorgyn.

Loki is a god and was called the wizard of lies. Loki was half god and half fire spirit. He liked to trick the other gods.

Frey was a god of fertility. He made sure that the plants were healthy and strong.

Freya is the goddess of birth and also was death. Freya married the god Od who deserted her and left her alone.
