Why Donate? All proceeds benefit the Issaquah Food Bank Many people are in need Many families need help After thanksgiving the food bank needs to be restocked

The Challenge Although we have all been talking about the challenge and who will win and who will lose, in the end, the “other person” and I agree, let’s donate as much as possible to help out as many people as possible!!

The Challenge Should we challenge Mr. Hall? Last year his loss = for every 200 #LHSCFD14 points he lost by = a pie in the face. He received 10 pies!! 9800 vs 7600!! He received a 200 point handicap too!!!

The Challenge ?? Should we challenge Mr. Hall? Should we challenge Mr. Hall’s team? A student of Kruzich would never put up with a loss… We are Number One!!

Follow the Rules!! 1. Stealing from other classrooms = Auto Disqualify!! 2. Extra Credit can only be offered by teachers and ASB cannot publicize it. 3. Items that are expired or dented will be counted as -2 points each 4. Top three teachers with the most points win prizes. 5. The ultimate winner will receive “The Golden Can” (currently located in Mrs. Kruzich’s classroom ).

The Incentive Plan Yes, you will get extra credit (EC) If the Kruzich total is 2900 = 5 pts EC for each person in every Kruzich class. If the total is 5800 #LHSCFD15 pts = 10 pts EC per person If the total is 8700 #LHSCFD15 pts = 15 pts EC per person If the total is 11,600 #LHSCFD15 pts = 20 pts EC per person (maximum*) So bring in 50 cans…to start, more if you can!! How Extra Credit (EC) is entered in the computer each quarter. First 10 EC points go into your tests! (20 pt max/sem) (stats = midterms) Next, 10 EC points will go into HW. (20 pt max/sem) (stats = quizzes) Finally, 5 EC will go towards your final exam (10 pt max/sem) (stats = HW) If you don’t need EC in HW, then your EC will be evenly dispersed to tests and the final ignoring the max allowed per category. *max will be raised if needed to avoid a Kruzich loss…YUCKY!! **There’s more EC for excellence!!

Excellence More Ways to Earn EC If we… …beat the Kruzich record of 9800 #LHSCFD14 points, then everyone gets another 10 points in passes. …help beat the school record of 26,000 #LHSCFD14 points, then earn another 5 point pass. BEAT Mr. Hall, another 15 points in passes!! There won’t be any EC opportunities during second semester, so you may save these passes for Sem 2!

The High Need Items The food bank is currently in need of the following items… Canned Chicken Canned Tuna Canned Salmon Peanut Butter & Jelly Granola Bars Baby Formula Shelf-Stable Milk So cute!!

The ASB Counting Process Standard Foods 1 point Dried, Bagged Food (Rice, pasta etc) Can of any size Pasta/ Boxed Meals Cereal Box 1 Granola Bar One water bottle = 1/4 #LHSCFD15 pt. NO Top Ramen Accepted!! Any item over 10 lbs is an additional 5 pts Key Foods 2 Points – High Need Items Canned proteins (meats/beans/fish) Cooking Oil (Vegetable, Olive, Coconut) Flour/Sugar – per pound Pet Food (Cans) Pet Food (Bags) – per pound Brown Rice/ Dried Beans – per pound Baby Food Peanut/Almond/Coconut Butter Jelly/Jam Packaged, Shelf-stable Milk (Dairy, Almond, Soy) Nuts (Bag)

Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank Places like the food bank can also use help. If you are in need of earning community service hours, then consider donating your time. Or just donate your time for fun!! Help Dec 11 th Load and/or unload the LHS delivery to the food bank!! Reconnect with LHS grads too!! Visit the food bank website for more information at issaquahfoodbank.org

Let’s show everyone how we can do it all at Liberty!! Academics Sports Community Be part of the celebration and donate to the canned food drive! (Ends 5 th period on Dec 11 th. Cans donated after won’t be counted towards competition.)
