PARAGRAPH DIRECTIONS: Organize your topic sentences based on recurring events or situations involving relationships. These situations include: the relationship between Olivia and Cesario, Viola and Orsino, Malvolio and Olivia, and Antonio and Cesario. Next, give your example(s) by either simply paraphrasing the situation itself (i.e stating what happens) and if necessary, by giving your quote. Finally, explain what the characters DON’T know that the reader does.

TOPIC SENTENCES TOPIC SENTENCE should mention the topic (dramatic irony) and the controlling idea (situations) in which we see it. Your subject should be either Shakespeare or Dramatic Irony. SYNONYMS FOR DRAMATIC IRONY INCLUDE: Technique Tool Literary device

GIVING EXAMPLES Next, give your example(s) by either simply paraphrasing the situation itself (stating what happens) and if necessary, by giving your quote. EXAMPLE: Make sure you introduce your examples with words like: In the scene where_______________, When ______________________, ______________________. The first time we see this is when______________________. Quotes should be introduced with simple PHRASES like: Oliva says, Quote must be followed by act, scene, and lines according to MLA format: Olivia says, “Ththeheheheheheheh/dhdhdshshsh/shshahshsah/ajsjsjsjsjs” ( ). Whereas, Orisino thinks she really means she __________________________________________________. EXPLAIN HOW YOUR EXAMPLE SHOWS DRAMATIC IRONY
