 Born in Tampico Ill on Feb. 6 th 1911  Got the nickname “Dutch” which meant ‘fat little Dutchman.’  He served as a local lifeguard in his community at a young age.  Ronald attended Eureka College; he studied economics, acted and played on the football team.  After college he became an announcer for the Chicago Cubs.  He then became an actor and appeared in 53 films. ball/19533/chicago+cubs+logo.html aredImages/school_logos/IllinoisM entor/Eureka_College/Eureka_Col lege.jpg

 In 1966, Ronald was elected governor of California  Then in 1980 he won Presidential Nomination over Jimmy Carter.  He chose George HW Bush to be his Vice President.  Ronald had many great ideas such as, Reaganomics, the Tax Reform Law, and many other contributions. ve/covers/1980/ _400.jpg

 Reagan was elected for his 2 nd term  Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev agreed to but a stop to the cold war.

 George W Bush’s most significant day was September 11 th, 2001  Our nation was attacked on our own turf!  To prevent this from happening again, George put in a Homeland Security system so he would know if any terrorist tried to attack  Bush also cut taxes and expanded the NATO alliance
