Symbiotic Relationships By: Courtney, Ben, and Julio

2 Types of Symbiotic Relationships Obligate Symbiosis Can't survive without each other Facultative Symbiosis Live together by choice

Symbiosis Definition: interaction between two different organisms living in close to each other, typically advantageous to both.

Mutualism Definition: The Rule that mutual dependence is necessary to social well-being. Symbiosis that is beneficial to both organisms involved.

Commensalism Definition: a bond among 2 organisms in which 1 benefits and the other stays neutral.

Parasitism Definition: non-mutual symbiotic relationship between 2 species where 1 organism benefits at the expense of the other.
