Networking: the exchange of information or services among individuals, groups, or institutions Shared Contacts Person 2Person 1 Contacts and knowledge available for sharing

Where Do We Network? General Gatherings, such as: Churchs, PTA, Athletic Events, Clubs Stakeholder Gatherings Where people may share your perspective about an issue or completely disagree Expert Meetings Where people may have different viewpoints, but share a common concern Coalitions People with a shared goal

Stages of Networking The Passive Networker may: Be shy Be insecure about a new subject May be listening

Stages of Networking The Active Networker Listens and writes things down Asks for suggestions/ideas Will exchange cards /contact information
