The Love of Jesus is so Wonderful!

Ephesians 3:17-19 (NKJV) “That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height - to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. The Love of Jesus is so Wonderful!

1. The Width of Christ's love speaks of His love being Universal. 2. The Length of Christ's love speaks of His love being Eternal. 3. The Depth of Christ's love speaks of His love being Unfathomable. 4. The Height of Christ's love speaks of His love being Heavenly. The Love of Jesus is so Wonderful!

1. The Width of Christ's love speaks of His love being Universal. Christ is not just the Saviour of the Jew but also of the Gentile. His love is for every tribe, every nation and every tongue. His arms on the cross were stretched out and nailed down like signposts to the East and to the West. His arms of love reach around the world and embraces everyone on the globe. The Love of Jesus is so Wonderful!

In short He was and is the lover of all. (John 3.16) He also reached into generations past and generations present and put upon Himself the sin of all humanity as an expression of His divine love. In short He was and is the lover of all. (John 3.16) The Love of Jesus is so Wonderful!

His love transcends nationality - He loved the Jew Matthew and the Samaritan woman at the well. His love transcends social position - He loved Nicodemus, the temple leader and Bartimaeus the street beggar. His love transcends economic status - He loved the rich young ruler and the widow who had two mites. His love transcends age - He loved both the old lady who had been bound for 30 years and the young children. The Love of Jesus is so Wonderful!

2. The Length of Christ's love speaks of His love being Eternal. It was there in the beginning and it will be there at the end. The Lord never stops loving us. Don't let the devil deceive you into thinking that God withdraws His love when you make a mistake. The Love of Jesus is so Wonderful!

The Father of the prodigal kept loving his son even when his son left him for the world. It was the knowledge of his father's steadfast love that motivated that young man to head home from the pigsty. He knew his father would not reject him! The Love of Jesus is so Wonderful!

3. The Depth of Christ's love speaks of His love being Unfathomable. Jesus' love was both for the temple leader Nicodemus but also for the criminal on the cross. He loves the thief and the murderer. He loved the adulteress and the prostitute. His love reaches even those who have committed the most terrible of sins. The Love of Jesus is so Wonderful!

He is not solely the Saviour of the educated and polite people He is not solely the Saviour of the educated and polite people. He is the Saviour of all! Some of the best saints were terrible sinners. But God in His mercy and love reaches down to us all. The Love of Jesus is so Wonderful!

Man's love is limited but God's love comes from the heights of heaven. 4. The Height of Christ's love speaks of His love being Heavenly. Man's love is limited but God's love comes from the heights of heaven. Sadly, people stop loving if their love is not returned. But God keeps loving us no matter the cost. Man's love is selfish, but God's love is selfless and self-sacrificing. The Love of Jesus is so Wonderful!

Therefore man's love is limited, but God's love cuts to the deepest parts of the heart. Man's love is superficial, but God's love conquers our hearts. May we all receive this wonderful love and then spread this wonderful love to everyone around us! The Love of Jesus is so Wonderful!
