Where did they come from?  Illyrians

How did these rulers influence the region/ethnic group?  Became Romanized -Mining for gold -Agriculture  9 th century – westernized – Latin Christianity  Ottoman Rules – Christian to Islam

What wars/conflicts were they involved in?  During World War ll, the kingdom of Yugoslavia was conquered by Nazi forces, including Bosnia.

What religion do they practice(majority)?  Muslim

What is their economy based on?  Agriculture  Livestock  Mining  Industry

3 Ways the geography impacted development of this ethnic group…  The river, Drina for the most part creates a natural border with Serbia.  The Sava River creates the border between Croatia and Bosnia to the north.  Bosnia is landlocked and does not have any coasts. Because of this their economy is based on agriculture and mining instead of a fishing industry.
