Task 2 The plan Write a plan Remember to include Plans are written in the future tense Time scale Which test you are going to carry out and why Risk Assessment completed for all physical, chemical and biological hazards How will you record results

Task 3 Get Results Decide how you are going to collect Carry out practical safely, accurately and precisely.

Task 4 – Draw Conclusions Process, calculate and use your results to draw conclusions E.g. Calculate the refractive index of glass from the crime scene and suspect. Identify the glass and suggest if the evidence suggests that the suspect has been at the crime scene.

Task 5 Overall Conclusions Write a letter to the chief constable explaining what conclusions can be draw from the evidence.

Task 6 - Evaluation Describe what has worked well Describe how you could improvement you experiment and why these improvements will improve precision accuracy and reliability.

Vocational Setting If this had really happened how would the SOCO’s and forensic scientists have carried out the tests What would they have been testing for ? How would they test for it?
