But those things really do not explain who I really am as a person. I have different ways of expressing my personality. So today you will learn those facts about me that you never knew. Family and Background The way my family began was when a German man came to Mexico during World War I. He met a young native woman and fell in love. They got married and that’s when the Splinker family began to expand. My family is one the most important things in my life. They are the ones who help me when I need it or they prove me wrong when I am incorrect. My dad’s side of the family lives in Oaxaca Mexico, and my moms side lives here in Redlands. But the family that I see every day that support me in the choices that I make, are my 2 older brothers and my parents, who love me very much, as I do love them.Oaxaca Mexico Now my life began at 8:30 In June 27, 2000 at Puebla, Mexico. Went to two schools in the time that I was living there Juarez Lincoln and Instituto Jabes. While I was living there for about six years my parents told me something that would change my life forever. “Nos vamos a mudar a Estados Unidos.” which means we are moving to the U.S. When I heard that I was excited and devastated because I wasn't going to see my family and friends any more, but a year later we moved here to California. My first American school I attended was McKinley elementary. That was when I began to learn English. The second school I attended was Cope Middle School that’s when my mom went to the hospital and I kept feeling like it was my fault for almost a year. The last but not least school I have attended is Redlands High School. Now I have only lived I the U. Interests & Hobbies MusicLearning Main Menu This are little puzzle pieces that demonstrate who I am. If someone asked me what I like to do, I would show them the exact same things that are on this slide. I love my life and when people say life sucks or life doesn’t like me, I like to tell myself there is always someone that has it worse than you. But anyways, I enjoy doing these things. Every time I do them I feel happy and that everything is going to be alright. I love that feeling, sometimes it even makes me think what my future will be like. Movies

Interests & Hobbies I love going to the movies. Especially when I go with my family or friends, and sometimes we just stay in the theater talking about the movie after it’s over. Sometimes I go to the movies by myself. Now I my family is a movie family. As you can already tell my favorite movie of all time is Back to the Future. I love the story and the way its made is just fascinating. The movie theater that is the closest to my house the Krikorian Theater in Redlands. But the reason I why love going to the movies is because I like the feeling when you come out, take a deep breath, and just smile. I don’t know if you do it but that just something I like to do.Back to the Future

Music Interests & Hobbies I like any kind of music. If you were to look at my phone and search for my music, you would find a variety of music genres. But my favorite song is Dancing in the Moonlight by King Harvest. Now I have been hearing music since I was in the womb. My dad used to put a stereo next to my mothers stomach. I was practically raised with music because my dad loves to play and sing. My parents say I have a musical ear. The reason why I enjoy music so much is because sometimes it gives me ideas on what my future could be like. I like to be a positive person, but music has helped me when I feel horrible. But the main reason why I love it is because it makes me forget about what is going on and I am just enjoying the moment, the beat, and the rhythm.Dancing in the Moonlight

Learning Interests & Hobbies Now you might be thinking “Learning ?” Well as I was growing up I used to look at the light switch in my classroom and I used to wander that when you turn on a light switch is there a time between the switch still being up but the light not on yet. Then I began to think of bigger questions like that and started creating a feeling of wanting to learn more and more. Random fact: did you know that carrots don’t help your eyes but not your eye sight. Another thing that I find interesting is that I find interesting is the Bible. Now I don’t know if you’re Christian, but if you really think about the Bible is a history book. These are things that fascinate me and just make me feel good.Random factBible

Future Plans Main Menu My plans for the future are to go to Cal Baptist because I feel like it would help in the career I want to do, which is being a therapist or a psychologist. Now the main reason why I want to go to CBU is because I am Christian and that is a Baptist university, which could also be supporting my beliefs while trying to reach my goal. The main reason why I want to be a therapist is from what I said before that I felt guilty for my being in the hospital because my family made me feel that way. I felt so guilty I didn’t even want to visit my mom at the hospital. But as time went by I told my parents how I felt and the helped me understand that it wasn’t my fault. So I began to realize that there are people that feel worse than I did. So my future plan is to become a therapist to assist people like them and help them not feel depressed.CBU therapist

Personal Goals Main Menu I love nature, but I still like to eat meat: just something I like to say. But I really do enjoy nature, my favorite type of weather are cold windy days, I like to feel the breeze between my fingers and my hair flowing freely in the air. But one piece of nature that I would love to see with my own eyes is being on top of a mountain and seeing the clouds beneath me. Like if the mountains were a boat and the clouds were the sea. Another thing I would also like to see the Milky Way Galaxy at night, laying down and enjoying the view seeing the beauty of the universe. Once I almost saw it but it was a cloudy day, so I wasn’t able to see it. But my biggest goal overall is to get married and have kids. I would like to have four or five children, two girls and two or three boys. Now every time I think of that I get a tiny grin because I can’t wait to be one.on top of a mountain and seeing the clouds beneath meMilky Way Galaxy
