 …instead of, NOT in addition to…  Students are NOT expected to make up work done while in Seminar or STEM.  Teachers are aware of when students leave and plan accordingly.  SDI: “Make-up work will generally not be required when working with the gifted education teacher.”

 2 hours per week by grade level, 3-5  Grade 3: Tuesdays 9:00-11:00  Grade 4: Thursdays 9:00-9:30, 11:10-12:40  Grade 5: Wednesdays 9:00-10:25, 11:10-11:45  Ability to explore topics of interest in depth  Grade 3: ancient cultures  Grade 4: how does a place change over time?  Grade 5: water  ** encouraging independent research
