LOCATE WC AT FOOT OF BED LOCK WHEELS TRANSFER PT INTO WC

FASTEN SAFETY STRAP AROUND PT ADJUST FOOT REST INSTRUCT PT TO KEEP HANDS INSIDE ARM RESTS

ROLL PT THROUGH DOORS BACKWARDS STAND CLOSE TO WC

USE OF STRETCHER

OBTAIN AUTHORIZATION INTRODUCE SELF IDENTIFY PT EXPLAIN PROCEDURE

LOCK WHEELS ON BED LOCK WHEELS ON STRETCHER ASSIST PT ONTO STRETCHER

IF PT CANNOT HELP, GET ASSISTANCE PUSH BED AGAINST WALL LOSSEN DRAWSHEET

INSTRUCT PT TO KEEP HANDS AND ARMS ON CHEST NEVER LEAVE UNATTENDED

DO NOT ALLOW SHEET TO GET CAUGHT AROUND WHEELS IF VISITORS ARE PRESENT; ASK THEM TO LEAVE
