PETA’S MISSION Largest animal right organization, “with more than 3 million members and supporters” PETA focuses on 4 major groups: 1.factory farms 2.clothing trade 3.laboratories 4.entertainment industry To get their word out they rescue animals, protest campaigns, do public education, and get involved with celebrities.
BEFORE PETA There was two things you could do: –Volunteer at an animal shelter –Donate to the humane society Peta’s founders wanted more to be done for the animals, and successfully won their first case in The Silver Spring Monkey Case, which brought to conviction of animal experimenters, on abused laboratory animals.

Celebrities that Support PETA Justin Bieber Paul McCartney Lance Bass Steve-O Pamela Anderson Eva Mendes Khloe Kardashian Ellen Degeneres
CONTROVESY Peta can be controversial to some people due to the stunt they have been known to preform in public : –Comparing people to nazis –Make out tour ( to prove a point that vegetarian make better lovers) –Celebrating National Veggie Dog with playboy models –An “scantily-clad” ad featuring Pamela Anderson was called out as being sexist –Dressing up as KKK members to prove the attempts to create a master race when it comes to pure-bred dogs.
Ethos In the website the credibility goes into account as it uses many famous celebrities as spoke persons such as Pamela Anderson, Kellan Lutz, and one can associate with them because we have an idea of who they are. They either are actors, or singers. They use these people to get the audience to focus on their main point of animal cruelty.
Pathos The website contains many links that have different titles such as “ His Lonely Days Are Over: Terry Goes to a Sanctuary” with pictures and articles that go with it. This spark up the audiences emotions due to the fact that one can see and read the articles of mistreated and abandoned animals. The pictures show a sign of sadness and cruelty. “Animal Groups Unite Against Show That Broadcast Live Animal Deaths”
Pathos Continued… “Horse-Drawn Carriage Flips Over in Middle od NYC Traffic” “PETA Does It Again- Expanding Role to Save Even More Animals”
Logos The website contains statistical facts such as the amount of money they raise to help animals, the time and days it takes to complete a goal they have in mind, and the scientific process it takes, “PISC scientists possess, they will continue to step in, providing governments with valid—and superior—non-animal testing methods to use instead.” They use correct pictures that go with what they are talking and trying to get across the audience.
Ways the Website can be Changed The colors could change to more bright colors to grab the audience attentions. There should be less pictures because the web page looks a bit to cluttered. The videos are on the bottom and should be on top for the audience to see better. But besides that the website is pretty well organized
Why I Choose PETA I choose this website because it grabbed my attention by: –The celebrities they used –The strong emotional pictures –The logo itself –The solid the animal rights ideas –The font is easy to read and understand –Interactive apps, and games –My interest in animal rights
