Preparation : Please ensure all Passport info, EHIC numbers and medical forms have been returned to the School Label all belongings coming with us Change spending money to Euros (£20 max). Place in labelled wallet or purse Help your child select your travel buddy and complete their ‘travel buddy passport’

VERY IMPORTANT All Passports and EHIC blue cards to be delivered to school in a named envelope by Monday 2 nd OCTOBER. Please hand to the Office. Children cannot travel without these They will be kept safe and returned to you with the children at the end of the trip!

What to bring on the journey: AS HAND LUGGAGE: A small manageable rucksack, containing: A hearty packed lunch Sufficient drinks/ Drinks bottle (No fizz please) Spending money to hand in to staff (named wallet please) Pen/Pencil Small notebook or pad. Teddy/Travel Pal Passport This is a TECH FREE trip – please do not bring electrical games, Mobile devices, tablets or MP3’s, phones or valuable digital cameras.

RECOMMEND PACKING LISTRECOMMEND PACKING LIST Bedding/Towels:Every children require a sleeping bag and towels ( 1 bath, 1 hand + flannel) Waterproof coat with a hood, waterproof trousers if available Clothing: Please ensure all clothes, shoes, bags etc are named. Children doing activities require old clothing: long-sleeved tops and long trousers for most activities, even in the summer months. Children will not be permitted to take part in certain activities if they do not have these. On activity days children require a number of different outfits. Clothing that dries easily is helpful. Footwear: All children doing activities require a pair of trainers. Open-toed shoes are not permitted for safety reasons. Please bring a pair of Wellies in a carrier bag, and a 2 nd pair of sturdy walking shoes. Torch: The children may find this useful. Disposable Camera: Remember them?

Supervision: ● Ratio of Westdene staff to children is 1-8. Centre staff supplement the supervision. ● Centre conforms to all Governing Body Guidelines ● Each outdoor pursuit and excursion is Risk Assessed ● Radio linked outdoor pursuits ● Outdoor pursuits, equipment and instructors continually assessed and monitored ● NGB Qualifications ● First Aid qualified and set emergency procedures

Groupings Prior to the trip pupils will be allocated a staff group leader. Please liaise with that member of staff at the point of departure with any important information.

Return Journey: Friday 13 th November Departure from Le Château: 9.30am Inbound Crossing15:50 Arrival at School18:45 Drop/Collect at bottom gate/ Field but please DO NOT PARK ON BARN RISE OR THE COACHES CAN’T GET IN OR OUT!
