SETTING UP TOKEN ECONOMY PROGRAMMING

THE BASIC RULES When the TEP begins, all members must understand the behaviours which are to be considered desirable, as well as what the tokens will be, how to earn them, what they are worth, when they can be exchanged and what for, but also that once the behaviour has been achieved (learned) the reward will be gradually phased out – this is where generalisation can be tested. The programme must be obeyed by everyone in the same way for it to work effectively.

REMEMBER TAD AND ROB? They continued with joy riding and increased ASB and have been arrested. They are 2 years in prison with the ability to be released early for good behaviour. Tad however is not settling well, he is missing his every day things and is getting into trouble. His behaviour needs adjusting to successfully rehabilitate him You are working in the prison and with your team are to set up a TEP programme for Tad that will be successful in addressing his behaviour.
