Holi Holi is a religious spring festival celebrated by Hindus. It is celebrated in countries with large populations following Hinduism, such as India, Nepal, Pakistan, South Africa,, United Kingdom and United States.

Celebration Holi is celebrated by people throwing coloured powder and coloured water at each other.

Purpose of the Holi The spring season, during which the weather changes, is believed to cause viral fever and cold. The playful throwing of natural coloured powders has a medicinal significance: the colours are traditionally made of medicinal herbs.

Holi The festival of Holi is celebrated on the day after the full moon in early March every year. Holi lasts up to sixteen days.
