1 Corinthians 13:8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect/complete has come, then that which is in part will be done away. Miracles proved that the word being spoken was from God. (Mark 16:20) The word “perfect” means complete or mature and never refers to Jesus or his second coming. 1 Corinthians 13:8 Love never fails. God feeds and takes care of the birds (Mat. 6:26) God provides rain for the earth and food for the animals (Ps. 104:21; Ps. 147:7-9) Special providence is something God does after a prayer that he might not have done if someone had not prayed. James 4:2 You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. 3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. We have the great blessing of prayer. If we ask it will be given to us (Mat 7:7-11). God will hear the righteous and deliver us from our troubles ( Ps. 34:15-17) God will supply us with all our needs according to his riches (Ph. 4:19) Prov. 3: 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Every hair on our head is numbered (Mat. 10:29- 31) Philemon 1:15 For perhaps he departed for a while for this purpose, that you might receive him forever, 16 no longer as a slave but more than a slave -- a beloved brother, especially to me but how much more to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord. The providence of God in the last 6 chapters of Acts Acts 19:21 When these things were accomplished, Paul purposed in the Spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, "After I have been there, I must also see Rome.“ Holy Spirit sent Barnabas and Paul on their first missionary journey (Acts 13:2). Holy Spirit forbids Paul to go to Asia and to Bithynia (Acts 16:6-7). It was God’s will for Paul to go to Jerusalem and then to Rome (Acts 23:11). Paul preached the Word of God at Jerusalem and he delivered aid from the Gentile churches (1 Cor. 16:1-4). Paul had a warm welcome at Jerusalem (Acts 21:17). Paul was accused of teaching against Moses (Acts 21:21). Paul proves the rumors wrong. (Acts 21:23ff). Romans 15: 30 Now I beg you, brethren, through the Lord Jesus Christ, and through the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in prayers to God for me, 31 that I may be delivered from those in Judea who do not believe, and that my service for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints, 32 that I may come to you with joy by the will of God, and may be refreshed together with you. Paul tells King Agrippa the only reason he was still alive was because of God’s help (Acts 26:22) Acts 22 Paul talks to the angry mob. Some Jews took an oath not to eat or drink until they had killed Paul (Acts 23:12). Paul’s nephew was in the right place at the right time. (Acts 23:16). The commander protected Paul with 470 soldiers. Felix could not find anything wrong. The Jews failed to persuade Festus. Festus could not find anything wrong. Acts 23:11 But the following night the Lord stood by him and said, "Be of good cheer, Paul; for as you have testified for Me in Jerusalem, so you must also bear witness at Rome." Paul gives his defense to King Agrippa. Acts 9:15 But the Lord said to him, "Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel. 16 "For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name's sake." Paul’s journey to Rome Julius (Acts 27:1) and Cornelius (Acts 10:1) Julius allowed Paul to visit with his brethren (Acts 27:3; 28:14). Paul had experience in shipwrecks (2 Cor. 11:25). Acts 27:21 But after long abstinence from food, then Paul stood in the midst of them and said, "Men, you should have listened to me, and not have sailed from Crete and incurred this disaster and loss. 22 "And now I urge you to take heart, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship. 23 "For there stood by me this night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve, 24 "saying, 'Do not be afraid, Paul; you must be brought before Caesar; and indeed God has granted you all those who sail with you.' 25 "Therefore take heart, men, for I believe God that it will be just as it was told me. 26 "However, we must run aground on a certain island."

Finding Malta in a storm is like finding a needle in a haystack. The people on Malta treated Paul and his companions with unusually kindness (Acts 28:2). The providence of God directed Paul to this island and gave him an opportunity to teach these men that might not of been taught otherwise. At Rome he was under house arrest (Acts 28:30). Philippians 1:12 But I want you to know, brethren, that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the gospel, 13 so that it has become evident to the whole palace guard, and to all the rest, that my chains are in Christ; 14 and most of the brethren in the Lord, having become confident by my chains, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.
