KSS Deanery Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deanery Established in April 2001 Responsible for the coordination, delivery and funding of postgraduate medical and dental education in the region Covers 13 Acute Trusts and 3 Mental Health Trusts

School of Anaesthesia Established April 2008 Initially Core Training ST3-7 in Sussex since 2009, Kent & Surrey TPDs for Higher Training –Kent & Surrey (North) –Sussex (South) Rotations county based with additional Teaching Hospital experience in South London (& BSUH for Sussex trainees)

Trainee Representative Elected by peers Work with the LFG, LAB and Specialty School Ensure views, opinions and experiences of trainee doctors are taken into account at every level of decision-making May also work with Medical Education Managers, Academic Registrar, Doctors’ Liaison Officer or Trust Education Advisor

Trainee Representative Responsibilities Attends the open section of the STC meeting. Represents the views and interests of the trainees. Provides feedback to the trainees on developments in the RITA & ARCP processes. Canvasses colleagues for opinions. Disseminate good aspects of training.
