What are we going to describe today? Describe the structural differences between various Forms of Ficton.

Share with your partner your favorite movie? Tell them if it’s about adventures or if it’s magical or if it’s real. Partner Share

Forms of Fiction are imaginative literature that comes from a writer’s mind. Examples: Cinderella This is a Fantasy. Junie B. Jones- Realistic Fiction A made up story that seems like it could really happen. Non Example: An encyclopedia about horses.

Why is it important to know the different structural features of various Forms of Fiction? Makes us better readers and it helps us make better predictions.

Some Forms of Fiction are…. Traditional Literature (past down through generations, usually began as oral stories) Fables Tall Tales Fairy Tales Legends/Myths Modern Fantasies -Where animals act like people -Setting in another world or imaginary place -Magic -Characters can have special powers Ex- Harry Potter
