What is an argumentative essay?  An argumentative essay is an essay in which the writer presents an argument for OR against something.

What will go into the first paragraph of this core curriculum argumentative research essay? Begin with three questions followed by three shocking statements that will grab your reader! State your position. State three reasons why you support this position. Use at least seventy-five words!

What will go into the second paragraph of this core curriculum argumentative research essay? This is the paragraph in which you will prove your first reason with two direct quotes from your research sources. This paragraph will be at least 200 words in length.

What will go into the third paragraph of this core curriculum argumentative research essay? This is the paragraph in which you will prove your second reason with two direct quotes from your research sources. This paragraph will be at least 200 words in length.
