Young Investigator Research Grant

Young Investigator Research Grant 20,000-30,000 L.E 1.These grants are only open for Egyptian medical doctors aged less than 40 years and who are practicing in Egyptian institutes. 2.Amount of the grants equals 20,000 L.E increased to 30,000 L.E upon approval of the grant review committee. 3.Duration of the grant two years can be extended for a third year upon approval of the grant review committee. 4.Grant application should be submitted on the official grant application form following the enclosed instructions. 5.Research should only be in the area of cardiovascular prevention.

Suggested Research Proposals 1. Prevalence of cardiovascular risk factors and sub-clinical atherosclerotic disease in young offspring of coronary patients. 2. Prevalence of cardiovascular risk factors among medical students – Role of dietary, familial, socioeconomic and demographic factors. Efficacy of health education program – One year follow-up. 3. Impact of hypertension guidelines on blood pressure control in hypertensive Egyptians – One year follow-up. 4. Impact of organized health promotion on cardiovascular risk profile in coronary patients discharged from CCU – One year follow-up.
