 Cosplay ( コスプレ, kosupure ), short for "costume play“, is a performance art in which costumes and accessories represent a specific character. Characters who are often drawn from popular fiction in Japan  These characters are mostly from anime, comic books, graphic novels, and video games.

 Taiwan  Beginning–1990  Taiwan's first cosplays started.But the people involved was only temporary. And the people that cosplayed at that time was too small.  Many people believe cosplay started in Japan, when it actually did not. It actually started in America.  The first cosplay was done by Forrest J Ackerman in 1939

 In Japan, their are professional cosplayers, or cosplay models. People who are paid to dress in costumes and get their picture taken.  But they take their work very seriously, and because they are professional cosplayers, they demand $150 an hour on average.  Also, the fact that professional cosplaying does not require a degree in school or any special training makes it highly competitive.

 Minor Cosplayers are regular people who attend annual Anime Conventions every few months,  or every year, just to show off their own costumes, take pictures and shop.  It’s all for fun, and not for competition.

 Cosplaying is for any age, young and old.  Most Cosplayers start in their early teens  Some start when they are babies.  Their may be an age limit for some Cosplay,for some characters are more adult than others.

 Anime convention is an event that focus on anime, manga and Japanese culture.  Anime conventions are multi-day events hosted at convention centers, hotels or college campuses.  They feature a wide variety of activities.  Anime conventions are also used in which studios, distributors, and publishers represent their anime related releases.

 Kabuki is a cultures equivalent of high  theatre. Hundreds of years older than Broadway.  Kabuki plays featured singing,dancing and drama which attracts a large amount of people.  Fans often shout words of encouragement to the actors.
