During and after reading

  Ask yourself:  What has happened so far?  Why did it happen?  How are the characters interacting?  What impact does this interaction have on plot of the poem?  Noodles: Copy down the noodles that I give you at the beginning of each section  Character chart: write three character traits for each character as you encounter them  Plot map: follow Odysseus’ journey using the map  Write down each stop he takes and the order in which he stops there (similar to the map on page 650). While you read:

  Chapter review: Pick ONE of the following options:  OPTION 1: Micro-analysis  Pick 20 lines from the episodes read in class  Translate those lines into your own words (your translation should be line for line)  Draw a three image story board for this portion  OPTION 2: Macro-analysis  Summarize today’s episodes (all that were read in class)  HAND write a ONE page summary  Draw a 3 image story board for those episodes After you read (homework):
