One summer morning in a tree there was a family of lorikeets laughing and telling jokes. There was a mother and two baby lorikeets. The mother’s name was Maria and the two baby lorikeets names were Lauren and Loriy. Lauren and Loriy were brother and sister, they were like best friends forever (BFF’s). When Loriy and Lauren got older, their mother Maria died because of her age.

While the two lorikeets were playing and jumping around, they started to get hungry so they looked if they had any more worms in their storage room but they didn’t find any worms. But they are not use to getting their own food. So they both climbed down the tree. Lauren found worms beside the tree and Loriy found some worms behind the tree. One night their tree started to MOVE! And a few minutes later they realized that some humans were cutting their tree down for paper, cardboard and fire wood. So they were very scared, they didn’t know what to do. So they quickly jumped and flew away to another tree.

Once Lauren and Loriy got a little older and wiser they learnt how to fly a little better, find food and to escape when ever they were in trouble. A year later Lauren and Loriy were reading their books. They weren’t doing anything, they were just reading their books peacefully. But one hour later the tree that they were in was starting to lean to one side!

Lauren felt it first because the side that was leaning, was the side she was on! So she started to tumble and tumble everywhere in the tree. When Loriy heard the tumbling he saw Lauren flat to the wall with her book in her hand!

So Loriy quickly grabbed his sister and they both looked outside and saw the same people cutting down the tree. They were so amazed that they didn’t realized that they were about to fall! But thankfully there was a thin root next to Lauren so she quickly grabbed it and caught Loriy. As you all know Loriy weighed more than Lauren. So the root was breaking quickly. So Loriy started to say “I love you so much, please take care of your self and always be smart. Bye I LOVE YOU!”

 So Loriy let go of Laurens hand so that Lauren can quickly have a big swing and fly away. 

A few months later, Lauren got use to living without her family, but at least she can still be smart, brave and of course she would remember to LOVE!!!
