After World War I, BMW was forced to cease aircraft (engine) production by the terms of the Versailles Armistice Treaty. The company consequently shifted to motorcycle production in 1923 once the restrictions of the treaty started to be lifted,followed by automobiles in 1928–29. BMW is famous for its performance and luxury enjoyment.

Audi On November 14, 1899, August Horch (1868–1951) established the company.The first Audi automobile, the Audi Type A 10/22 hp (16 kW) Sport-Phaeton, was produced in 1910 in Zwickau. In 1932, Audi merged with Horch, DKW,and Wanderer, to form Auto Union.

Mercedes-Benz Benz is a German brand name of automobile, buses, coaches, and trucks. Benz automobiles have introduced –both in past and present – themajority of technological and safety features common in modren vehicles.

Future In 2009, when the concept of the developmnet of an electric car started, No car volume car manufacturer has a car powered exclusively by batteries in its lineup. At present, only 1,500 electric cars are available among the German cars circulating at the present. There is still a lot to do, before all the German cars will be not dependant upon petroleum, and electric cars are not ready for volume production, however.
