About Me… I wanted to be a teacher at age 5 Taught 6, 7 and 8 th grades at Whitman Middle School in Seattle from Einstein – this is my 2 nd year here. I have worked in a variety of teaching capacities: tutoring, one-on-one and small group Writing and Reading Support, Special Education, Literacy Support and co-teaching I want your students to enjoy this class and feel comfortable being themselves

Grades… Grades are feedback given to students to help them understand where they are at and where they need to go… I update grades to Data Dashboard once every two weeks or more
Grading continued… 70% Assessments- essays, book clubs, other skill work 20% Practice – in class assignments and formative assessments, post its, exit tickets 10% Academic Responsibility – turning in work on time, behavior, Library PRIDE
