Why Sell Cookies?

Cookie sales are part of a mission to help girls learn 5 skills that are essential to leadership, to success, and to life.  Skill #1- Goal Setting  Skill #2- Decision Making  Skill #3- Money Management  Skill #4- People Skills  Skill #5- Business Ethics The Five Skills

Skill #1- Goal Setting  Learning the goal setting process  Group Goals  Personal Goals- both sales and educational  Tracking Progress  Celebrating Success  Adjusting when goals aren’t met

Skill #2-Decision Making  Personal choices impact success and failure.  Decision making both as part of and separate from goal setting.  You don’t always get your way.  Problem solving  Creation of a business plan- marketing and sales strategies

Skill #3- Money Management  How to make change and check it twice, count it back.  How to tally funds.  How to track sales.  Budgeting  Learn to communicate how the money helps you, your troop and GSWW.

Skill #4- People Skills  How to approach people we know- make a list of who to approach  How to approach strangers  How to accept “No”  Learn to communicate goals and plans
