Data Sampled We decided to do our research on Yoplait Regular yogurt vs. Yoplait Light yogurt. We collected 30 items of each type of yogurt (i.e. 30 regular and 30 light) and took the data of how many grams of sugar each one had. We got the data that is presented in these charts. Regular Yogurt FlavorSugar Grams Black Harvest18 Café Mocha16 Caramel16 Cherry16 Honey16 Key Lime16 Lemon Meringue16 Peaches & Cream16 Pina Colada16 Blackberry Pomegranate18 Boston Cream Pie18 Cherry Orchad18 Cherry Pomegranate18 French Vanilla18 Harvest Peach18 Key Lime Pie18 Lemon Burts18 Mango18 Mixed Berry18 Mountain Blueberry18 Orange Cream18 Pina Colada18 Pine Apple18 Blueberry18 Pineapple18 Raspberry18 Strawberry18 Tangerine18 Vanilla18 Coconut19 Light Yogurt FlavorSugar Grams Plain6 Boston Crème Pie7 Key Lime7 Vanilla7 Blackberry Pie8 Mango8 Pineapple8 Raspberry8 Strawberry Cheesecake8 Black Cherry9 Lemon9 Mixed Berry9 Peach9 Strawberry9 Tropical Fruit9 Apple Fritter10 Apricot Mango Sorbet10 Banana Cream Pie10 Blackberry10 Blueberry Patch10 Boston Cream Pie10 Choco-Cherry Pie10 Harvest Peach10 Key Lime Pie10 Lemon Cream Pie10 Orange Cream10 Pineapple Upsidedown10 Raspberry Cheesecake10 Raspberry Sorbet10 Red Raspberry10

Frequency Charts With this data, we put each type of yogurt into a frequency chart and used the data found to create two histograms so we can easily see the difference in grams of sugar between the regular and light yogurts. Regular ClassFrequencyRelative FrequencyCumulative Frequency % %96.67% %100.00% Total30 Light ClassFrequencyRelative FrequencyCumulative Frequency 6 or less13% %50% %100% Total30

Histograms These are the histograms that we got from the data found with the frequency charts from the previous slide. We went with a number count instead of percentages because it more accurately shows the difference between the two types of yogurt.

Box and Whisker Along with the data we collected, we put together a 5 Number Summary then used the data from that to construct a Box and Whisker diagram. Regular Min16 Q116 Median18 Q318 Max19 Light Min6 Q18 Median14.5 Q310 Max10

Standard Deviation and Mean Finally with the data that we collected with the two types of yogurt was the standard deviation. The following charts are just representations of our work to find the STDEV of the types of yogurt. The one on this slide is for the regular yogurt and the one on the next slide will be for the light. For the mean, we added up the total amount of grams of sugar then divided by 30 (the number of items added).
