Data Sampled We decided to do our research on Yoplait Regular yogurt vs. Yoplait Light yogurt. We collected 30 items of each type of yogurt (i.e. 30 regular and 30 light) and took the data of how many grams of sugar each one had. We got the data that is presented in these charts. Frequency Charts With this data, we put each type of yogurt into a frequency chart and used the data found to create two histograms so we can easily see the difference in grams of sugar between the regular and light yogurts. Histograms These are the histograms that we got from the data found with the frequency charts from the previous slide. We went with a number count instead of percentages because it more accurately shows the difference between the two types of yogurt.
Box and Whisker Along with the data we collected, we put together a 5 Number Summary then used the data from that to construct a Box and Whisker diagram. Regular Min16 Q116 Median18 Q318 Max19 Light Min6 Q18 Median14.5 Q310 Max10
Standard Deviation and Mean Finally with the data that we collected with the two types of yogurt was the standard deviation. The following charts are just representations of our work to find the STDEV of the types of yogurt. The one on this slide is for the regular yogurt and the one on the next slide will be for the light. For the mean, we added up the total amount of grams of sugar then divided by 30 (the number of items added).
