Where sustainable community networks grow, and collaborative action thrives.

History: The Waterloo Region Environmental Networking Event, or #WRENE as an acronym and hashtag, was the first environmental community event to bring together over 70 individuals from over 60 organizations, to participate in facilitated networking and determine opportunities for collaboration. This event helped initiate several community projects by bringing resources together, and we are pleased to continue this with #WRENE2013! Objectives: Develop and maintain an established, cohesive environmental network in Waterloo Region through recurring events which provide valuable networking opportunities and exciting updates on collaborative local projects, specifically by:  Creating a forum to facilitate conversations about local challenges and opportunities  Initiating and facilitating follow-through on collaborative action and community projects needed identified via discussion outcomes  Providing updates on outcomes from current momentum and outcomes via detailed reports  Advocating continued involvement in networking with the local environmental community 2 Thursday, September 26 th, 2013 – 6:30PM Kitchener City Hall, Rotunda
