House III Gillette Road Middle School is divided into three houses to help make the number of classes and students more comfortable and manageable for the students. –Students remain in their House while at Gillette –House I, II, and III are academic houses based on the student’s homeroom. –House IV is the Special Areas teachers

Agendas All students must have and use an agenda. We start the year having it signed nightly to get the students in the habit of showing you. Used for communication between home and school. Need agenda to use computers Used for passes

Schedule We have a block schedule with three main blocks for instruction of Math, ELA and Social Studies/Science. Specials Study Hall/ Independent/Extra Help

Homework Policy Students are expected to complete and turn in assigned homework assignments on time. If an assignment is not complete or turned in, it will be written in the agenda and a pink homework form will be sent home so you are informed. The student is still expected to complete the work, but will lose points for lateness ( 75, 50, 0) If the student misses 3 assignments, we will keep them after school to complete the work and get organized.

Birthdays and Parties You are invited to help your child celebrate his/her birthday with treats if you like. Parties - Halloween, Winter Holidays, Valentine’s Day, or other fun occasions when we need a party. If anyone would like to help with or organize a party PLEASE let me know!
