Introduction to Exercises Requirements: The exercises in this course have been created for experienced ANSYS users. The students are expected to have completed the Introduction to ANSYS (Parts I & II), Structural Nonlinearities, and Dynamics seminars before attending this course, or to have the equivalent experience. Therefore, the main emphasis of these exercises is to reinforce the topics discussed in the ANSYS/LS-DYNA seminar, and not to stress those topics already covered in the other ANSYS courses (e.g., meshing, plasticity, transient dynamics, etc.). Format: Each exercise begins by reading in an input file, which creates the basic model. The location of these input files will no doubt be different at each lecture site, so consult your instructor for the appropriate directory. Step-by-step instructions are then provided for each exercise. The complete input listings are also supplied at the end of this book in the appendix. Electronic copies are available upon request.
