Cooperative Learning and Leadership 7/8 FCS

Once you receive your syllabus and smart goal, put them in your binder and put your binder in the front bookshelves.

Experiment Open up envelope and spread pieces on table. Each person get 3 or 4 pieces Goal: Form 5 squares of equal size. Rules: No one can talk! No one can ask for a card or in any way signal that he wants a card. You may give a card to others tho. Winner: Each person at the table group that wins earns a tiger track for cooperation!

Discussion Questions: How did you feel when someone held a piece and did not see the solution? What was your reaction when someone finished a square and then sat back without seeing whether his or her solution prevented others from solving the problem? What were your feelings if you finished your square and then began to realize that you would have to break it up and give away a piece? How did you feel about the person who was slow to see a solution? If you were the slow person, how did you feel? How did you feel when someone gave you a part you needed? Was there a climate of helping or hindering? What is the value of this exercise?
