Creating a Fabulous Oral Presentation for your Research Project

Decide what interesting facts you want to share. Review your research web Highlight the most interesting/exciting information
Make your presentation interactive. Ask questions at the beginning, middle and end of your presentation. Ask for audience volunteers. Create a brief quiz on your information.
Use visual aids Create a powerpoint/ Google presentation if you want Create a fabulous award!
Create a conclusion Review your main points. Ask the class review questions (2) Present your award!
Practice, practice, practice! Decide if you will record important ideas on index cards or list on paper (use a clip board) Do not just read from your web! Read in front of a peer or parent and ask for feedback.
Time yourself Presentation should be approximately 3 minutes. Use a timer to estimate the length of your presentation. If necessary, add more or eliminate parts to fit the guideline.
Be a great presenter! Make eye contact with the audience Speak with expression! Speak at an understandable rate, not too fast, not too slow! Stand up straight! Good posture is important. Use gestures when appropriate.
