A Great Man - a mighty man of valour
Presentation transcript:

2 Kings 5:1 1NAAMAN, COMMANDER of the army of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, accepted [and acceptable], because by him the Lord had given victory to Syria. He was also a mighty man of valor, but he was a leper.

2 Kings 2: Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored and you shall be clean. 11But Naaman was angry and went away and said, Behold, I thought he would surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, and wave his hand over the place and heal the leper.

2 Kings 2: Are not Abana and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? May I not wash in them and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage.

13 - And his servants came near and said to him, My father, if the prophet had bid you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much rather, then, when he says to you, Wash and be clean?

Extra Effort Doing more then what is usual or expected. Going above and beyond. A vigorous or determined attempt Exertion of strength or power

God is the God of open opportunity to go higher and become greater. Most people never seize opportunities because it requires that they give extra effort. Extra effort is often times the dividing point between good and great.

True faith always requires effort on your part before God will do his part. The idea of waiting on God or trusting in God does not mean do nothing. The Level of your success will always be determined by the level of your effort. Your faith will only produce at level of your effort

James 2: But someone will say [to you then], You [say you] have faith, and I have [good] works. Now you show me your [alleged] faith apart from any [good] works [if you can], and I by [good] works [of obedience] will show you my faith.

19 - You believe that God is one; you do well. So do the demons believe and shudder [in terror and horror such as [make a man's hair stand on end and contract the surface of his skin]!

20 - Are you willing to be shown [proof], you foolish (unproductive, spiritually deficient) fellow, that faith apart from [good] works is inactive and ineffective and worthless? 21 - Was not our forefather Abraham [shown to be] justified (made acceptable to God) by [his] works when he brought to the altar as an offering his [own] son Isaac?

22You see that [his] faith was cooperating with his works, and [his] faith was completed and reached its supreme expression [when he implemented it] by [good] works. 23And [so] the Scripture was fulfilled that says, Abraham believed in (adhered to, trusted in, and relied on) God, and this was accounted to him as righteousness (as conformity to God's will in thought and deed), and he was called God's friend.

24You see that a man is justified (pronounced righteous before God) through what he does and not alone through faith [through works of obedience as well as by what he believes].

The 212 principle 1. You create doors of opportunity. 2. It drives you beyond the point of giving up. 3. It places a demand on your dream. 4. It transform potential into productivity. 5. It is the key to unlock breakthrough.
