or “Our Friendship with Finances” from “Foundations for Prosperity” series

 EVERYONE relates to finances and material goods in one way or another.  It’s HOW you relate, or WHAT your relationship is, that makes the difference.

Questions to ask yourself:  How is your relationship with money?  How are you and money getting along?  Does money like you?  Is money attracted to you?  Is money working for you or are you working for money?

Questions to ask yourself:  How is your relationship with money?  How are you and money getting along?  Does money like you?  Is money attracted to you?  Is money working for you or are you working for money? You should have a good relationship with money – but it’s also possible to be too intimate with money.

LET ME REPEAT!... Everyone relates to finances and material goods in one way or another. It’s HOW you relate, or WHAT your relationship is, that makes the difference.

LET ME REPEAT!... Everyone relates to finances and material goods in one way or another. It’s HOW you relate, or WHAT your relationship is, that makes the difference. Let money AGREE with you.

Let money AGREE with you… Allow it to be:  “Money with a mission”;  “Prosperity with a purpose”.

Money plays an important role in our lives…  Money issues are a prime sources of stress, anxiety and pressure.  Money controls lives, attitudes and emotions.  Many people are slaves to money.  They are driven to make it and keep it.  We must have a proper relationship with money.

Matthew 6:24-34 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Settle this: “I serve God. Money serves me!”

Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Matthew 6:25-26 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? (26) Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

Matthew 6:27-31 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? (28) And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: (29) And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. (30) Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? (31) Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

KEY: We must make a decision to be free from the care over money forever. (…and, stay with that decision.)

Matthew 6:32-34 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. (33) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (34) Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

A KEY to partnership with prosperity (directing money): SEED!

Genesis 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

Seed was designed by God to serve us. Psalm 104:14 He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb (seed) for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth.

(Man serving money) Mark 10:17-22 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? (18) And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God. (19) Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother. (20) And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth. (21) Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. (22) And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.

(Money serving a woman) Mark 12:41-44 And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. (42) And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. (43) And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: (44) For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.

How we conduct ourselves with money… 1 Timothy 6:10-11 For the love of money (or, serving money) is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. (11) But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

1 Timothy 6:17-19 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; (18) That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; (19) Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

Our confession of faith should be: I settle this issue of money right now. I adjust my financial attitude. I do not serve money. I am not a slave to money. I serve God. Money serves me. I do not work for money. Money works for me. Money doesn’t control me. I control money. Money doesn’t rule me. I rule money. Money doesn’t dominate me. I dominate money.

Our confession of faith should be: Because of this attitude… I tithe fearlessly. I give boldly and militantly as the Lord leads me. Money: You serve me! Money: You obey me! Money: You multiply, increase and produce maximum harvest. Harvest: I command you to come to me now, in Jesus’ Name!

Our confession of faith should be: I am overtaken with the Blessing of God. Everything I do is blessed. I am walking in the fullness of The Blessing, fully furnished and liberally supplied. I am filled to the top, nothing wanting. I am filled to the brim, nothing lacking. My ship is full, laden down and overflowing. The Blessing has come to me. The Blessing has overtaken me. I am walking in the superabundant, exceeding excess, fullness of The Blessing.
