History of Electronic mail has begun to be used in the 1960s. At that time the Internet has not been established, there is only a collection of computers that form a network. The concept of was first raised by Ray Tomlinson, a computer engineer at the end of Ray Tomlinson was working at Bolt, Beranek and Newman (BBN) belonging to American defense agencies. Ray initially experimented with a program called SNDMSG that can be used to leave a message on a computer, so that other people who use a computer that can read the messages left. Then he continued his experiments by using the file protocol called CYPNET so SNDMSG program had been able to send messages to other computers inside the network ARPAnet.
