Apples for Mooseheart

What is Apples for Mooseheart? Began by collecting $ to actually buy apples and ship them to Mooseheart Shipping costs became too great, so now, we raise the money, send it back to Mooseheart and Washington apples are bought there, saving a pile of $$$$$. There is a traveling plaque that is presented to the Lodge & Chapter that raises the most money per member for the program This is our program. No one else does it!

The Numbers Last year, we raised $1701, this year we raised $ That’s a lot of apples! Donated by 8 of 32 chapters and 13 of 34 lodges (21 of 66 FRUs – 38%) We had 45 FRUs that chose not to participate this year

The Goals Raise more money each year than the year before – we did that. Increase participation in the program to 100% - we have a long way to go! Let’s try to achieve 100% participation this year! You will be surprised how little it takes to bring home the plaque each year. Stay tuned to the banquet or breakfast for this year’s winners! Let’s shoot for $2000 total donated by all 66 of our fraternal units. That’s only $31 per unit!

How? Go home to your lodges and do 1 bottle draw and send the money in to Ray. Promote the program at lodge meetings Attend district meetings and let the other lodges know that you are raising money for this program. Challenge others!

Thank you Thank you to the lodges and chapters that contributed in Thanks to those of you planning to “get on board” with this project We are providing a locally grown product to the very children we swore to aid and protect.
