White Rose DTC A unique collaboration between the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York Encompasses all of the PGR social science provision at these institutions One of the largest DTCs in the UK Part of a national network of 21 centres of excellence funded by ESRC

ESRC Doctoral Training Centres Support around 3,000 PhD students each year with an approximate funding total of £40 million: raise the standards of postgraduate training across the social science base, based on the following principles: Students/Courses/Investment Centres Excellence: core and advanced training Flexibility: content, structure, delivery Collaboration: integration and reduced duplication Inter-disciplinarity: innovative training and ESRC strategic challenges
