Rohm and Haas was selected from a record number of corporate nominees by an independent, international jury co-chaired by Dr. Joel I. Abrams of the University of Pittsburgh and Dr. David M. Gates of the University of Michigan. In making its selection, the jury cited Rohm and Haas’ “environmental policy as visionary because it was established prior to the Stockholm Conference in 1972.”
