Presentation transcript:

That eating healthy pays off in the long run. Your plate should consist of mostly vegetables and grains. Carbohydrates and fat fuel the body. Fruits are high in potassium. Eating something in moderation means eating it once a week. Not all fats are bad

If I ate what I ate on the road trip, I would be a very fat man. I made maybe 1 healthy food choice the whole trip. Most of the choices I made were Unhealthy. If I were to really go on a road trip I would need to make better decisions on what to eat.

– To make better decisions at fast food restaurants is to look for the food that are healthier like instead of getting a burger and fries with a soda, get a salad and a water. Just by making that one decision your meal loses a lot of fat that you could have had. – Instead of getting like ice cream for your dessert get some fruit. – Order small to medium portions instead of large and unneeded portions. – Get sandwiches on whole wheat bread.

Reducing fat in the foods you eat may make them not taste as good but it will make you feel great. For example when your eating steak a way to reduce fat is to cut off the fat on the sides of the strip of meat. Another example is for a salad, instead of just drenching it with a type of dressing so you can taste it, put just less than you normally would so you will get less fat and calories Instead of getting soda or other beverages with a lot of sugar, get water it is a lot healthier for you Try to order foods that are steamed, grilled, or broiled instead of those that are fried or sautéed

The daily recommended calories for a very active boy is about 3000 calories a day For an active girl it is about 2800 calories a day A not active boy should get about 2200 calories a day from ages A not active girl should get about 1800 calories a day So you can see that being active you have to eat more calories than being not active because being active you burn more calories than being not active
