What is nutrition?  Nutrition is the material that we need in order to live.  A way to get your daily nutrients is by eating healthy foods.

Why do we eat healthy foods?  We eat healthy foods to help us grow.  Our brains need nourishment, found in healthy foods, in order to store new information on a daily basis.  Eating healthy foods provides the right amount of nutrients to support your heart, build healthy bones and muscles.

What do we call food that isn’t always good for you?

Foods that aren’t ALWAYS good….

What happens if we don’t eat healthy foods?!  When you don’t eat healthy foods your heart is not strong enough to pump nutrients around your body.  If your heart does not pump the nutrients that you need, your brain won’t function properly.  If your brain doesn’t function properly then your body won’t be able to carry out simple actions.

Healthy foods to eat !  Some healthy food groups are : Protein, Vegetables, Fruits, Grains and Dairy.

Healthy Food!  Sometimes healthy food can be pretty weird.

Did you know you can make healthy food fun?!?!?!?!?
