NOTICES; PURPOSES  Announce social events  Report on matters of interest to staff  Inform staff of new procedures  Advertise posts for internal appointments  Remind staff of company procedures

EXAMPLES OF NOTICES

DESIGNING NOTICES Give clear heading Caps lock and different fonts for emphasis Use sub headings to breaking heading into smaller parts logically Use bullets to make lists

Use paper effectively to attract audience Neither too much material nor incomplete information It’s good to include name of the writer, as well as reference and a date

WRITING STYLE:

WRITING STYLE; (AIDA) Attention: gain reader’s attention Interest: mention the point of their interest Desire: aim the notice at producing the desired response Action: make the audience want to act on something mentioned in the notice or advertisement.
