In 1926 parcels under the railway were bought and the project was made by Alois Herzán in the same year. The construction of the stadium began one year later. Last works were finished by construction of wooden pavilion in The ceremonial opening of the stadium took place on 18th June 1933.
After disintegration of Sokol by communists the stadium came to usage of Spartak Trebic in A hall was built on the place of changing rooms and marshalling yeard in Dressing rooms, storehouses and two clay fields were built on the west side. Stadium was given back to Sokol in 1992.
The area in front of changing rooms was used as an ice rink in winter. Football fans supported the establishment of football field, but the management of Sokol disagreed. They were thinking about building a new Sokol gymnasium, the plan was made, but they didn´t realise the construction.
