Module Overview Three Distinct Sections Environmental Problems Facing the Electronics Sector (Week 1-4) Proposed Solutions to Mitigate These Problems (Week 5-8) A Project to Demonstrate that you can implement these solutions (Week 9-12) It is research based. The module involves creating a narrative from primary sources (peer-reviewed papers) and then implementing a solution based on your findings

How it works Each person is individually assigned a unique research paper. You must study this, write a short report on it and make an oral presentation on it. You must then take these papers as a whole and write a report which summarises (a) the sustainability problems facing the electronics sector (b) proposed solutions for these problems The final phase of the module will see you placed in groups to come up with new products that overcome the problems. To assist in getting into the right frame of mind, we will assume a role play situation where the lecturer is the VP for strategy in a consumer electronics company and you are the research team.
