Hi! We’re a fifth grade class from St. Bartholomew Academy which is located in Central New Jersey. We hope you find our items interesting, different, and helpful. Hope you enjoy comparing with us!

Our predictions were very close to what we found. Biotic Predictions: Plants Trees Bugs Birds Roots Abiotic Predictions: Rocks Dirt Garbage Waste Wood chips

The animals we found were: Ants Worms Roly polies Night crawlers Baby centipede The plants we found were: Grass Crabgrass Weeds A bush The non- living things we found were: Soil Acorns Rocks Woodchips Dust Garbage Stones Cardboard Metal Plastic

We choose Newville in Pennsylvania as our school to compare with. We choose them because we thought there findings were very interesting. We thought it was interesting that they were near ticks because we didn’t see any. We thought they would be helpful so we can compare and relate to.

St. Bartholomew Crab grass Worm Roly polies Night crawler Baby insects/Centipede Bush Acorn Woodchips Dust Garbage Stone Dead Leaf Cardboard Both Ant Worm Grass Weed Dirt Paper Rocks Newville Beetle Spider Flying Bugs Mushroom/ Fungus Trees Mud Comparing

We think they found their findings because… -They had wrote that snakes and ticks were near by but we don’t usually see them near us. We thought this might be because they might have had wet grounds when the searched but we didn’t. -We think they found mud because it might have rained near the time they searched. -We feel like they found similar creatures and plants to us because we have a similar climate and landforms. Our thoughts…

THIS WAS FUN! We thought this project was fun because we got to be very creative with it. We were able to make different designs on power point and also be creative with our writing. We got along well and were able to spend time with our friends. We also liked this because we were able to get experience with responsibilities and hard work.

Thank You For Watching! -We appreciate it a lot! -Thanks also for you’re participation in listening to our presentation. -We are so happy that you found our project informing an fun! Love, Lucia, Marcus, Victoria, and Camila A.K.A.: the Garden Gnomes
