The scope of this project is to design a portal prototype using Health Sciences 20 (or Environmental Science 20) using materials that have already been collected and stored on a Google drive. The project will likely require some or all of the following: · an assessment of the new curriculum (outcomes and indicators) for the target course, current resources; · correlation of instructional materials, assessment strategies, and outcomes and indicators; · the development of standard templates, standard filenames, standard file hierarchies; · recommended workflow (establishment of procedures for users, administrators, and other possible stakeholders); · an assessment/selection of suitable platforms (technology); · recommendations regarding sustainability (i.e., necessary resources to maintain or extend the pilot/portal). Interference Factors Some of the Interference Factors taken into consideration include: ○Availability of a Viable Platform ○Time constraint ○Google Drive ○Social Networking
Factors Contributing to Success ○ Background knowledge: Teachers currently have experience using resource portals with login procedures and passwords ○ Social networking sites: Many teachers have used these sites and are familiar with navigation procedures
