Memory Book Project Communications 12 1.You will use PowerPoint to complete assignment. 2. You need to include items outlined on the following slides. 3. We will spend one week in the computer lab to complete this project. 4. This project must be completed to get credit for this course. Your Memory Book will have the following 13 slides

Memory Book Sections First Slide: Title Slide. Please include Name, Date, and Course (Communications 12) Chapter 1: “Who Am I?” Put your full name and a picture of yourself on this slide and write 4 words that describe you. Chapter 2: "My Heritage“ Write a description of your cultural background. Do some research on your name or the country where your ancestors lived. Include pictures of these places. Chapter 3: “Before I Was, There Were…” Record the names of your parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, older cousins and siblings and anybody who may not be a relative but who has helped to pave the way for you and your family. You may wish to create a family tree.

Memory Book Sections Chapter 4: “Suddenly, I Became Me” Include one of your earliest memories. This may include a brief story about a person, place or event. Chapter 5: “Hero Worship” Who is a hero in your life? Describe how this person influenced you, and how you feel about him/her. What would your life have been without this person? How might this person have influenced or changed your future? Chapter 6: “Early Stories” Record one book that you remember reading or having had read to you as well as a picture of the cover or image that reflects that story.

Memory Book Sections Chapter 7: “Let’s Go To the Movies” Include one favorite movie with a picture from the film. Write down two to three sentences about what you liked about the film. Chapter 8: “I am Canadian” What does it mean to you to be Canadian? What is your interpretation of “Canada’s Identity”? Hockey…the outdoors…fishing…snow…It is up to you. Write two to three sentences about being Canadian with an ICONIC picture. If you are an International Student, use your home country in the place of Canada. Chapter 9: “Music””: What is your favorite music? What is your favorite band? Singer? Performer? What is your favorite song? Record two or three appropriate lines from your favorite song with images from the artist or the song’s theme.

Memory Book Sections Chapter 10: “School Bells – Elementary/High School” Write down one success or highlight from your school years. Chapter 11: “Most Memorable Current Events’’ Describe the news item that has affected you the most in your life so far. Be sure to explain the item and then highlight as to how it has affected you. (For example, you could write about Vancouver Riots, September 11) Epilogue:“Who I want to be” Include three or four sentences with accompanying images of who you want to be in the future. This might have to do with family, volunteer work, jobs, hobbies, or anything that you want to strive for.
