2 Period: 03.october october.15 -First fly (Grigore, Rodion) -First visited EU country (Grigore, Rodion) -Beautiful city -Kind people

3 We enjoyed a very warm welcome both from the hosts and the IST teachers: Helena Ramos, Jorje Pereira and Artur Lopes An office was put at our disposal, where we worked for as long as needed We were initiated in the IST world via visits to laboratories and academic campus

 These are scietific researches at IST (looks dangerous but isn’t) 4

 We made a presentation in which we explained our plans for the thesis and the help that we need from IST  Also we asked for some information related to:  Suggested practices related to industrial technology transfer issues  Data on technology transfer theory  Portuguese research system in the agricultural area  Understanding of how the TTO must work in an institute of research  Information about the structure of regional clusters in Portugal 5

 How to find participants in cluster  How to find funds for cluster  The educational system in Portugal  Innovational system as whole  What innovative technologies proposed for agriculture have been studied in the university 6

 We have also visited the Transfer Technology Office and mrs. Carla Patrocinio gave us some materials about the TTO’s around the world, some statistics and analysis 8

 We attended courses in IST 9

 Professor Pereira gave us a lot of information about the culture, history and geography of Portugal 10

 And finally we made time to visit beautiful places 11
