1 8 th Grade Spring Trip 2015
2 General Information Dates: Sunday, May 8 to Friday May 13 Cost: approximately $925.00, deposit $150 due Dec. 18 Transportation: Charter Bus Lodging: 5 night at CC lodge Meals: Sunday sack lunch (snacks) Sunday night – Friday morning meals at CC 5-star Chef – good eats Friday: may need additional $$ for lunch stop Packing List to follow: need towel and sleeping bag Chaperones: Mr. Koch and Ms. Landau plus one
3 General Information Housing: Students stay in comfortable cabins (new in 2016). Beds are bunk style. Bathrooms and showers are located in the hall of each cabin. Cabins are coed, but rooms are not. Meals: Crow Canyon offers a varied and delicious menu, served cafeteria-style in the lodge. Special diets can be accomodated (document on paperwork). Lemonade, water, ice tea and fruit are always available. We will have some off-campus lunches. Vending machines are available, but no food or drinks are permitted in the cabins at any time. Gift Shop available – but no additional $$$ (vending, possible Friday lunch on road) are necessary.
4 Itinerary: May 8 to May 13 May 8: Travel Day – leave RMAE at 8:30 am, travel to Crow Canyon (approx. 7 hrs.). Arrive at CC approximately 4:30 pm. We stay at CC facilities May 9: Daytime activities – Windows or Inquiries into the past basket makers lifestyles and introductory evening program May 10: Daytime activities – Simulated Excavation Pueblo Lifestyles and CC led evening program May 11: Daytime activities – Anazazi Heritage Center Tour/Lab, Site Tour or Pottery and Wrap Up evening program. May 12: Daytime activities – Mesa Verde National Park Tour and evening program on our own. May 13: Travel Day – leave CC at 8:30 am, travel back to RMAE (approx. 7 hrs.). Arrive at RMAE approximately 5 pm.
